With continued support from top-level policies and the accelerated implementation of national and industry standards, the sodium-ion battery industry is moving from policy- and standards-driven development toward large-scale, commercial deployment.
To further promote the industrialization of sodium-ion batteries and the development of the standards system, the China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI) and the China Energy Storage Alliance (CNESA) will co-host the Sodium-Ion Battery Industry Chain and Standards Development Forum on September 21-22, 2026, in Zigong, Sichuan Province.
Under the theme "Gathering in the City of Salt, Energizing Sodium Batteries", the forum plans to invite leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration for Market Regulation and other competent authorities, as well as relevant academicians and experts.
