Time: Late November (to be updated shortly)

Venue: Shenzhen·Guangdong province

1. Background

As the global energy transition continues to accelerate, energy storage has been increasingly recognized as a critical enabler of grid stability, renewable energy integration, system flexibility and new energy business models. In 2026, frontier technologies and applications such as AI-enabled energy storage, long-duration energy storage, sodium-ion batteries, grid-forming storage, storage for computing infrastructure, virtual power plants and residential storage are moving to large-scale deployment.

Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area provide a strong industrial and innovation base for this discussion. The region brings together battery materials, cell manufacturing, system integration, digital energy, smart operation and maintenance, financing resources, technology companies and cross-border connectivity.

Against this backdrop, CNESA, together with local industry partners in Shenzhen, proposes to convene the 2026 China Energy Storage CEO Summit, bringing together senior industry leaders, international participants, market experts, investors, project developers and research organizations to discuss advanced technologies, overseas market development, energy storage for computing and power coordination, investment and financing, and the next stage of global collaboration.
