The Leaders of the Battery Sector Gather Again This November at the Hungarian Battery Days


The Hungarian Battery Days will return on November 6–7, 2025, for its fifth edition, organised by the Hungarian Battery Association and White Paper Consulting. The conference will explore the latest industry trends, regulatory developments, and technological innovations, with contributions from renowned international and domestic speakers.

The event will be opened by Márton Nagy, Hungary’s Minister of National Economy, who will present the government’s plans and strategic goals for the development of the Hungarian battery industry. István Joó, Government Commissioner and CEO of HIPA – the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency, will highlight the importance of international investments in the sector.

Prominent international experts, such as Patrick Clerens, Secretary General of the European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE), and Fabrice Stassin, Secretary General of the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA), will share their insights on the outlook for the European battery market.


The challenges linked to the growing e-mobility ecosystem will be addressed by Chris Heron, Secretary General of Emobility Europe, along with Johannes Jung and Christian Müller emobility leaders from GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG, and Dr. Richard Zhang, Managing Director of EVE Germany GmbH, who will discuss the technological and infrastructure developments shaping the future of the industry.


Shen Feng, Managing Director of CATL Debrecen, will highlight the role of the company’s Hungarian investment and the development of the global battery landscape. The Hungarian energy market and the growing importance of storage technologies will be discussed by speakers such as Péter Horváth, CEO of Dunamenti Power Plant (MET Group), Csaba Farkas, Head of Group Renewables at MOL Group, Dr. Csaba Kiss, Deputy CEO of MVM Hungarian Electricity Ltd., and Ábel Suri, Senior Product Manager at Huawei Serbia & Hungary.


The circular economy and recycling will also take centre stage. Anita Simon, Deputy CEO of Alteo, will speak about the link between sustainable business operations and energy efficiency, while Olaf Rogge, Business Development Manager for Recycling at BASF Battery Materials, will present the development of a collaborative European recycling ecosystem. In the sustainability session, Aleksandar Devčić, Managing Director of Jedro DS Innovations, will introduce the company’s innovative recycling technology, and Aleksandar Džombić, CEO of Storioin Energy, will discuss the challenges of building a circular future for the industry.


The Hungarian Battery Days 2025 will once again feature a unique two-day format. The first day, on 6 November, will be hosted at the Hotel Marriott Budapest, offering a full-day professional conference. On the second day, 7 November, participants will have the opportunity to join an exclusive site visit to Jász-Plasztik Kft. in Jászberény, Hungary’s largest domestically owned battery recycler and manufacturer.


The organisers’ goal is to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the industry’s current state and future perspectives, while also giving them first-hand insights into practical developments and innovations shaping the battery value chain.
