China-Brazil Solar and Energy Storage Exchange Deepens as Brazil-China Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Forum Held in São Paulo
On August 24, 2026, the Brazil-China Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Forum (Fórum Brasil-China de Energia Fotovoltaica e Armazenamento de Energia) was successfully held in São Paulo, Brazil. The forum attracted widespread attention from the local new energy industry, drawing more than 300 participants. Enterprise representatives, industry experts, and professionals from the photovoltaic, energy storage, power, investment, and new energy supply chain sectors gathered to discuss the development trends and future opportunities of Brazil's photovoltaic and energy storage markets.
The forum brought together key industry organizations and industry representatives from the new energy sectors of China and Brazil. Representatives from the Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association (ABSOLAR), the Brazilian Energy Storage Association (ABSAE), the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), and the China Energy Storage Alliance (CNESA) participated in the event, sharing insights on topics including the current status and challenges of Brazil's photovoltaic market, energy storage industry development planning, China's photovoltaic and energy storage industry experience, and global new energy market trends.
Among them, a representative of the China Energy Storage Alliance (CNESA) presented the development of China's energy storage market and industry practices. In recent years, China's new energy storage has grown rapidly in market scale, technological innovation, supply chain development, and project applications, offering rich practical experience to the global energy storage market. The development path and experience of China's energy storage industry also attracted wide attention from Brazilian industry guests.
The forum also invited enterprises along the new energy supply chains of both China and Brazil, including Solis, LONGi Solar, DYNESS, EAST, TGOOD, and PYLONTECH and so on, to exchange views, with presentations on technology and market practices in photovoltaic, energy storage systems, batteries, PCS, and power infrastructure. The event featured dedicated panel discussions on residential energy storage and commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage, where participants held in-depth exchanges on core market concerns, including storage business models, project return on investment, grid connection, safety certification, localized services, and channel transformation
Brazil has now become one of the world's most important photovoltaic markets. With the continuous expansion of distributed PV installations and the rising penetration of new energy in the power system, issues such as grid accommodation, reverse power flow, energy management, and power supply reliability are drawing growing attention, and the market value of energy storage is gradually emerging.
